Director of Fire Service (Operations and Maintenance) Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam informed this information on Wednesday (April 5).
He said that every store in Annexco Tower was stocking more than the prescribed limit. Due to which the fire cannot be extinguished permanently. But the whole situation is under our control. Still 12 units of fire service are working.

About the injured fire service personnel, he said, 6 out of eight people are completely safe. But the two are still not out of danger.
Earlier, a fire broke out at Bangabazar Market at 6:10 am on Tuesday (April 4). The fire spread to four other nearby markets. Fire Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, BGB, Police, RAB and WASA tried to bring the fire under control at 12:30 pm.
In this terrible fire, no common people were injured, but eight people of the fire service were injured. About 5,500 shops were burnt in the fire.
