Bomb gift at lover's wedding, groom killed in explosion
Boyfriend bombed a home theater music system at ex-girlfriend's wedding. The newly married lover's husband and her elder brother lost their lives in that bomb blast. Four people were seriously injured.
The incident took place in Kabirdham district of Chhatrisgarh, India on Monday. The name of the deceased groom is Hemendra Meravi (22). He was killed on the spot. His brother Rajkumar (30) died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
According to the report of NDTV, the young man got angry because his girlfriend got married in another place. He committed such a heinous act to take revenge.
Hemendra Meravi got married on April 1. He received a 'home theater music system' as a wedding gift. He connected this gift with electricity on Monday. It immediately exploded with a loud noise. Groom Hemendra was killed on the spot. On the other hand, his elder brother died during treatment. In this incident, a woman and a one-year-old child were seriously injured when the wall of the house collapsed.
The police investigation found that the home theater music system was rigged with explosives. They start trying to find out who gave this gift. At one point they came to know that the person who gave the gift was the lover of the newly married girl. The young man's name is Serju Markham. He was arrested after the fact was confirmed.
Kabirdham Additional Superintendent of Police Manisha Thakur said, during the interrogation, Sarju confessed and said that he was angry because his ex-lover got married. From this anger, he planted explosives in the home theater and gave it as a wedding gift.
