'Mayar Janjal' is releasing simultaneously in Bangladesh and India.

The much awaited movie 'Mayar Janjal'. It is finally going to be released. Viewers will get a chance to see the film even though it is a Bangladeshi as well as an Indian movie. The producer of the film and Bangladeshi director Jaseem Ahmed has confirmed that the India-Bangladesh joint production film will be released simultaneously in both Bengals next month.

India-Bangladesh joint production movie 'Mayar Janjal'. As soon as the poster of the movie came, the interest of the audience started. The movie is directed by popular Kolkata filmmaker Indranil Roy Chowdhury. Earlier he has directed two movies 'Farding' and 'Bhalobasar Sehar'. Mayar Janjal starring Opi Karim and Ritvik Chakraborty is releasing simultaneously in Bangladesh and India on February 24.

On the occasion of the movie's release, its trailer was released at the Kolkata Book Fair yesterday. Jaseem Ahmed, the producer of Mayar Janjal confirmed this. He is currently in Kolkata. From there, Jasim Ahmed said, 'We are releasing the movie simultaneously in Bangladesh and India on February 24. The movie will be screened at multiplexes and cineplexes including Nandan in Kolkata. Similarly, we plan to show it in Cineplex and Multiplex in Bangladesh. We unveiled the trailer at the Kolkata Book Fair and it is also available on various online platforms.' 


The movie starred stars from both countries. Among them are popular Bangladeshi actresses Opi Karim, Sohail Mondal and Wahida Mallika Jolly and Kolkata's Ritvik Chakraborty, Paran Bandyopadhyay, Bratya Basu, Chandrayi Ghosh. Its screenplay is based on two short stories 'Vishak Prem' and 'Subala' by renowned writer Manik Banerjee.

Sohail Mondal said about acting in Maya's Janjal movie, 'I shot the movie in 2018. There is a character named Satya in this movie, which I did. Two short stories by Manik Banerjee are shown simultaneously. There are various events that happened in Satya's life in this movie. I learned a lot while acting in it.' 


Opi Karim will be seen on the big screen after a long time through this movie. After 15 years of the release of 'Bachelor' directed by Mustafa Sarayar Farooqui, OPI Karim is returning to the theaters with Mayar Janjal. Her character name in the movie is Soma. Who lives in Kolkata. She has a family with her husband and only child. But the husband is unemployed. For this reason, Soma worked at the residence of veteran actor Paran Banerjee to teach his child in English medium. Soma's husband Chandu is played by Ritvik Chakraborty. Bratya Basu as Ganesh Babu, Chandrayi Ghosh as Beauty and Sohail Rana as Satya. Maya Janjal movie was shot in Dhaka and Kolkata.

The movie has been acclaimed at several international festivals. In 2020, Mayer Janjal had its world premiere at the Official Selection of the Asian New Talent Awards at the Shanghai International Film Festival in China. It also took place at the Moscow International Film Festival. In the same year, the film was invited to the Asian Perspectives section of the 15th Jogja-Netpack Asian Film Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia. Besides, Mayer Janjal won the Best Feature Film Jury Award by being invited to the Encounter with Asian Cinema competition section of the 21st Asiatica Film Festival in Rome, Italy.
