Lying in eternal sleep next to the grave of parents: MP Swapan
Senior politician, president of Chittagong South District Awami League and Member of Parliament for Chittagong-8 Constituency, heroic freedom fighter Alhaj Moslem Uddin Ahmed passed away at Evercare Hospital in the capital last night at 12:20 PM.

On Friday (September 3) at three o'clock in the afternoon, after the second namaz at the Shahjadpur Government High School ground and the third namaz at the Shahzadpur Makhdoomiya Jame Masjid at three o'clock, his burial was completed at the Chuniyakhali cemetery.
According to party and family sources, the first prayer of the deceased will be performed in front of the central office of Bangabandhu Awami League. His body will be buried next to his mother's grave at Garib Ullah Shah mausoleum in Chittagong city on Tuesday after the second round of janaza at Boalkhali in Chittagong and the third in Chittagong.
In 1969, Moshalem Uddin Ahmad was appointed as the vice-president of Chittagong Government Commerce College branch of Chhatra League. Later he served as General Secretary of Chittagong South District Awami League branch for several years. Till his death he served as General Secretary of Chittagong South District Awami League. He also served as the Acting General Secretary of Chittagong City Branch of Chhatra League in 1970.

Hasibur Rahman Swapan was born on June 16, 1956 in Dwariapur village of Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj district. He led the Transport Workers Union in the 80s. After that Shahjadpur Union Parishad Chairman was later elected Municipal Chairman. In 1996, he was elected Member of Parliament from the then Sirajganj-7 Constituency as a BNP candidate in the Seventh National Parliament Election. Later, when the ruling Awami League called for the formation of a consensus government, he joined it and got the job of Deputy Minister of Industry. At that time, when BNP expelled him from the party, he joined Awami League. After that, he was elected Member of Parliament from Sirajganj-6 constituency as Bangladesh Awami League in 2014 10th and 2018 11th National Parliament Elections. Besides, he was serving as the president of Upazila Awami League until his death.
