Turkish goalkeeper Ahmet Yup died in the earthquake

Turkish goalkeeper Ahmet Yup Turkaslan has died. His club Yeni Maltyaspor confirmed that he died after the terrible earthquake in Turkey last February 6. The British media BBC reported this information in a report on Wednesday (February 8).

He was reportedly trapped under a collapsed residential building after the earthquake.

Turkaslan's death was confirmed by his club Yeni Malatyaspor. Malatyaspor club wrote on their official Twitter account yesterday, 'Our goalkeeper Ahmet Yup Turkaslan died after being buried under the rubble of the earthquake. Be in peace. We will never forget a good person like you.'

Meanwhile, the French news agency AFP reported on Wednesday (February 8) about the authorities of the two countries that the death toll from the deadly earthquakes in Turkey and Syria has risen to 7,800. Only in Turkey the number of dead is 5 thousand 894, on the other hand in Syria 1 thousand 932 people. It is also feared that the death toll may increase greatly.
