Lover's hunger strike at home: Chhatra League leader dismissed from post

Shahabul Islam Shaon, general secretary of Poliprayagpur Union Chhatra League of Dinajpur's Birampur police station, has been dismissed from his post after his girlfriend went on hunger strike demanding marriage. He was dismissed from the post of General Secretary of the Union Chhatra League citing the reason of breach of party discipline. Farhad Hossain has been given the duty of Acting General Secretary.

This order was given in a letter signed by Abdur Razzak, president of Birampur Thana Chhatra League at around 10 pm on Monday (January 9). Meanwhile, his lover was on hunger strike for the last three days demanding marriage at Shahabul Islam Shaon's house. According to the latest information, Abdur Razzak, president of the Upazila Chhatra League, confirmed that Shahabul married her on Monday evening.

Upazila Chhatra League president Abdur Razzak confirmed the truth of the incident and said that for the past few days a college student has been on hunger strike at his house demanding marriage. Chhatra League is a clean organization. The organization will not take responsibility for his actions. He was given due to violation of organization discipline.
Earlier, a college student in Badmukha area of neighboring Mukundpur Union went on hunger strike at Shahabul Islam Shawon's house demanding marriage from Friday afternoon. Criticism started in the area about the matter. Shahabul was running away from home since that day. Later on Monday evening, Shahabul married the girl in Ghoraghat Raniganj area
