Hero Alam wants to play with Obaidul Quader in the voting field

Hero Alam went to Bogra District Commissioner's office on Sunday (January 5) afternoon to submit the application for re-counting of votes in Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) seat by-election. There he said this to the journalists.

Hero Alam was elected as an independent candidate in Bogra-4 and Bogra-6 constituencies on February 1. In Bogra-4 seat, he lost to Awami League supported Jasad candidate by only 834 votes. Soon after, Hero Alam alleged that even though the polls in this seat were fair, the results were altered during the counting. He was lost in a conspiracy.

Aiming at Obaidul Quader, Hero Alam said, 'He said in words - let's play. Want to play with strong team. I want to tell Obaidul Quader sir that the game does not have to be played with everyone. You contest an election with I am Hero Alam. I stand as an independent candidate and you as a party. Then you see if the game is played with a fair selection. He can't find players on the field to play. With me, with CCTV cameras in every center, without scaring the voters, they vote fairly.'

Hero Alam said, 'They did not complete my election results properly. I had my doubts about this. So I have collected the results of all polling stations. Almost all the candidates including me got abnormal votes in some centres. Referring to those centres, I applied to the District Commissioner for recounting of votes. They accepted my application. But it did not say anything about when the results will be counted again. If they don't respond I will go to the High Court.'

Hero Alam also said, 'Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader sir said - Hero Alam has become zero. But Hero Alam is never zero. Those who want to make Hero Zero have become Zero. The bridge minister spoke to me in a sarcastic manner. But a minister cannot talk down to the citizens of the country.'

Hero Alam said, 'I want a fair election. In future, we want elections under a caretaker government, in which all parties participate. Everyone can vote freely.'

In response to the media's question whether BNP is working for Hero Alam, he said, 'If BNP worked for me, they would have been in the field on the election day. No BNP person was with me. These are made up by some people. Not only BNP's Mirza Fakhrul sir, the whole world and Bangladesh have spoken on my behalf.'

Bogra District Commissioner and Returning Officer Md. Along with Saiful Islam, Hero Alam said in writing that Hero Alam participated in the by-election as an independent candidate in Bogra-4 Constituency (Kahalu-Nandigram). Polling for this seat was held on February 1. After taking the polls, the results of some polling stations in Kahalu-Nandigram area became suspicious to him. For this reason, he requested to re-count the votes of 45 centers and publish the results. In that application, Hero Alam also mentioned the numbers of the centers whose results are doubtful in the application form. There are total 112 centers in this constituency.

Bogra Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer. Saiful Islam said that an application of Ashraful Hossain Alam has been submitted in his office. Although all the documents related to the election results have been explained to him. If there is any mistake in the declared result papers it can be seen. Bogra Deputy Commissioner also said that there is no possibility of error in counting of votes in EVM.
