Jatrabari collided with bus-covered vans, pedestrian killed
A pedestrian named Zahidul Islam (1) was killed in a collision between Shyamoli transport buses and covered vans at Jatrabari in the capital.
The accident took place on Thursday (March 2) around 7.30am in Jatrabari's Golapbagh area. The pedestrian was killed on the spot. Later, his body was recovered and sent to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital morgue.

It is learned that the deceased was identified as Zahidul Islam's house in Krishnapur village of Rajair police station in Madaripur. He is the son of the deceased Mostafa Mollah of the area. Zahidul was a color master in the profession.
Jatrabari Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mostakim said a bus carrying Shyamoli was pushed from behind at around 7:30 am. The cover van turned upside down and pressed a pedestrian named Zahidul Islam. The pedestrian was killed on the spot.
He said the fire service came and removed the covered van and recovered his body. Bus and covered van are in police custody.
