Exemption will not be granted if conspiracy is linked to journalism: Nanak
Jahangir Kabir Nanak, a member of the Awami League presidium, said that no exemption will be given if any conspiracy is connected with journalism. The people of the country will stand against this type of unjournalism.
He said, 'Journalism will be full of ethics. Ethics must be protected along with journalism. Exemption will not be given if any conspiracy is connected with journalism. The people of the country will stand against this kind of unjournalism by breaking the venom of that conspiracy.'
Jahangir Kabir Nanak said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the human chain organized by the Bangladesh Women's Awami League in front of the National Press Club today to protest the shameless lies and fictions of Dainik Prothom Alo.
A member of the presidium of the Awami League said that on the great independence day, the news was printed (daily Prothom Alo) with the name of Sabuj as Zakir. For what reason? What is the purpose of printing? This newspaper is always conspiring against the beloved leader Sheikh Hasina and the progress of Bangladesh.
He said, 'Morality must be protected along with journalism. Exemption will not be given if it is proven to be unprofessional with journalism. Our countrymen were celebrating 52 years of independence with due dignity. Then a special news of a national daily of the country (Prothom Alo) came to the attention of the countrymen.
Even after so many years of independence, we have to stand on the streets and protest against lies and yellow journalism. In this holy month of Ramadan, we have to protest against anti-independence journalism. It is very sad.'
Nanak says, this is not a new conspiracy; Who gave a message to the world by printing pictures of Basanti. Conspired to raise questions about the independence of the country. The continuation of that Basanti conspiracy is still going on.
Mentioning that there is no benefit in conspiracies, he said that after 52 years of independence, when Bangladesh is moving forward in the direction of development, progress and peace under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, there will be no benefit in conspiracies. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, this trend of our development progress
cannot be interrupted in any way.
Women's Awami League President Meher Afroz Chumki presided over the human chain and Awami League's Education and Human Resources Secretary Shamsunnahar Chapa was present. Shabnam Jahan Shila MP, General Secretary of Women's Awami League moderated.
