Even in 30 hours, the fire of Bangabazar was not fully extinguished
An employee of Annexco Tower said that smoke is still coming out continuously as there are cloth shops and godowns in Annexco Tower. Shop owners are trying to get the goods out.
Even after 30 hours, the fire in the capital's Bangabazar is still not completely extinguished. Some places are still burning intermittently. Although the main fire was brought under control, on Wednesday (April 5) morning, fire was seen in several places including Bangabazar's Anexco Tower.
Firefighters are trying to douse the fire and smoke wherever they see it.
Aktaruzzaman, deputy director of the Directorate of Fire Service and Civil Defense, told the media that even if there is no fire in the open area, there may be some fire on the 5th to 7th floor of Annexco Tower. We are turning it off.
Earlier, a fire broke out in Bangabazar at 6:10 am on Tuesday (April 4). The fire spread to four other markets from Bangabazar. Fire Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, BGB, Police, RAB and WASA tried to bring the fire under control at 12:30 pm.
In this terrible fire, no common people were injured, but eight people of the fire service were injured. About 5,500 shops were burnt in the fire.
