Leaders and activists are gathering in Nayapaltan, alert police
BNP is holding departmental meetings across the country for 10-point demands, including the release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and the party's leaders and workers, elections under the caretaker government.
Meanwhile, BNP is holding a Dhaka divisional rally in front of the party's central office in Nayapaltan. Today, Saturday (February 4), the rally in Dhaka is scheduled to start at 2 pm, but after 10 pm, the leaders and activists started coming to Nayapaltan area from Malibagh, Moghbazar, Jatrabari, Purana Paltan areas of the capital.
However, members of the law and order forces are on alert around the BNP rally. Apart from Nayapaltan, the police have stationed themselves in many important places of the capital.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will be the chief guest at the rally in Nayapaltan. The central leaders of the party will also address the rally. Apart from this, the participating parties in the simultaneous movement are also holding programs with the same demands under the banner of their respective parties or alliances.
