Derek Scholey paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister
Derek Scholey, Senior Advisor to the US Secretary of State, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He met at Ganobhaban on Wednesday (February 15) morning. Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Zahid Tushar confirmed the matter.
Earlier on Tuesday (February 14) evening, Derek Scholey arrived in Dhaka for a two-day visit. Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen welcomed him.
During the visit, Foreign Secretary Masoud Bin Momen and Derek Shole will hold a breakfast meeting. It is expected that the Rohingya issue will be important in addition to the important issues of bilateral relations.
At the same time, apart from the meeting with Foreign Minister Abdul Momen, Shole is scheduled to hold a meeting with representatives of the civil society.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that the relationship between the two countries will deepen through the visit of the senior US official.
