BNP's position program across the country today
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) announced a sit-in program at metropolitan and district levels across the country on Saturday (April 1) with 10-point demands, including the resignation of the ruling government.
The party informed this information in a press release on Friday. It is said in the notification that the central leaders of the party will participate in this program as part of the simultaneous movement against the government.
The notification also informed that the program will be held on Saturday from 2 pm to 4 pm. On the same day, apart from BNP, like-minded political parties against the government will hold this program at separate times on their own initiative.
Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP convenor Abdus Salam will preside over the sit-in program in front of the capital's Engineers Institution from 2 pm to 4 pm in a joint initiative of Dhaka Metropolitan (North-South) BNP.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee members, senior leaders and members of affiliated organizations will be present in the program.
The 12-party alliance will hold a sit-in program at Vijayanagar water tank area of the capital on Saturday around 11:30 am. Bangladesh Labor Party will hold a sit-in program in front of the National Press Club from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Like-minded Professional Democratic Alliance will hold a sit-in program in front of the National Press Club at 11 am. The Social Democratic Party will hold a sit-in program from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Paltan Junction.
LDP will hold the party's central office program near Karwan Bazar FDC around 3 pm. Gano Forum led by Mustafa Mohsin Montu will hold this program from 4 to 5 pm at the Gano Forum square opposite Motijheel Notre Dame College.
