At least 9 people, including small children and women, were killed in a collision between a microbus and a truck on the Mumbai-Goa highway in Maharashtra, India. The only survivor of the accident, a 4-year-old child, was sent to the hospital. News from Hindustan Times and India Today.

The accident took place near Ratnagiri district around 5 am local time today, Thursday. Police said the truck was going to Mumbai, while the microbus was on the road in Ratnagiri district. A child and three women were among those killed in the accident. They were returning after consoling the relatives on the death of a relative.
Traffic on the highway has been maintained following the accident. The police also said that investigation is going on to see the reason of the accident.

Earlier, at least 9 people were killed in a terrible road accident in Gujarat on December 31. At least 28 such people were injured. The accident took place near Besma village in Gujarat's Navsari district.
Then Swami Maharaj, a prominent man from Surat in Gujarat, was returning to Valsad with a passenger from the Shatabdi festival. On the way, the bus driver suffered a heart attack when he reached the accident site in Navsari district. Later the bus lost control and rammed a Toyota Fortuner. On December 14, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mohotsav in Ahmedabad.
According to the police, eight people inside the Toyota Fortunera were killed and at least 28 passengers were injured when the bus hit them. The bus driver was taken to the hospital along with the injured, but he died there.
