Another case against Imran Khan
Another case has been filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan for allegedly 'endangering' army officers at the pinnacle of Pakistan's power.
A magistrate named Manzoor Ahmed filed the case at the Ramna Police Station in the capital Islamabad on Thursday, April 6. This information was given in a report of Pakistan media Geo News.
According to the statement of the case, Imran Khan used 'inappropriate language' towards military officials at various times during his tenure as Prime Minister.
It is also said that the statement of the case has been prepared by incorporating sections 500, 505 and 138 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Sections 500 and 138 punish the accused with imprisonment for a maximum of 2 years and fine, but Section 505 charges the person with sedition.
Imran Khan has been fighting a legal battle ever since he was ousted from the post of Prime Minister in April last year. The PTI chairman claimed that the current government has registered more than 100 cases against him in various police stations and courts across the country.
