The court sentenced seven accused including son Humayun Kabir Humus (27) to death in connection with the murder of his mother in five pieces due to a conflict over money in Subarnachar, Noakhali. At the same time each has been fined five thousand rupees.
District and Sessions Judge Court Judge Nilufar Sultana gave this order in the presence of the accused on Tuesday afternoon.
Other than Humayun Kabir Humu, the accused who have been sentenced to death are Nirav (26), Noor Islam (32), Kalam (30), Suman (33), Hamid (28) and Ismail (30).

The court's public counsel (PP) Gulzar Ahmed Jewel told the media that it was a brutal murder. The mother who gave birth to the child, how the child kills the mother! This is an unprecedented event. We are satisfied with this judgment. Hopefully, this judgment will be upheld in the Supreme Court.
On the afternoon of October 7, 2020, two pieces including the head of housewife Noor Jahan (58) were recovered from a paddy field of Jahazamara village of Charjabbar union of Subarnachar. Three more pieces of the body were recovered from the same field the next day.
Humayun Kabir, the son of the deceased woman, filed a murder case against the unknown accused in the police station. As a suspect at one stage of the investigation. Nirav and Kasai Noor Islam were arrested.

In their interrogation, information comes out that the plaintiff himself is said to be involved in the murder case. Then the police filed another case making Humayun the prime accused. Arrested in that case, Humayun gave a confessional statement.
