4 cars collide in dense fog in Habiganj, 3 killed
The accident took place on Friday (January 6) around 2.30 am in Shahpur area of Dhaka-Sylhet highway. Three people were killed in a four-vehicle collision in Madhavpur upazila of Habiganj. Five others were injured.
Resident microbus driver Sadir Ali (25) of Kamlatila village of Kulaura police station of Moulvibazar, Atiqur Rahman Sihab (15) son of deceased Nurul Haque of Madanagar village of the same upazila and Abdus Salam (32) son of deceased Abdul Hannan of Barachhara village of Kamalganj police station. However, the names of the injured are not known.
Madhavpur Upazila Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abdur Razzak confirmed the truth of the incident to Jago News.

The OC said there was deep fog during the night. After receiving the news of the accident, the dead body was recovered. Accidental vehicles are removed from the road.
Jasim Uddin, Second Officer of Shaestaganj Highway Police Station, told Jago News that the relatives of the deceased have applied to the Deputy Commissioner's office saying that they want to take the bodies without post-mortem. The injured have been sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
