Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate 50 type mosques in the 2nd phase under the project of establishing 564 mosques and Islamic cultural centers in each district and upazila. He will inaugurate 50 model mosques and Islamic cultural centers by connecting virtually from Ganobhaban on Monday.
After the inauguration, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will participate virtually in the inauguration ceremony of two Naksha mosques in Rajshahi and Gazipur.
An officer of the Prime Minister's Office said that the Prime Minister will inaugurate 50 type mosques along with the Islamic Cultural Center today. The government has set a rare example in world history by constructing 564 model mosques and Islamic centers in every district and police station across the country.

According to the ministry, type mosques have separate rooms for ablution and prayers with air conditioning. Apart from this, there will be registration and training facility for Hajj pilgrims, Imam training center, research center and Islamic library, autism corner, pre-burial rites, car parking facility, safe deposit box, pre-primary education and Quran teaching facility, Islamic cultural conference room. Activities and Islamic dawat, Islamic book selling center, mosque along with a boarding facility for domestic and foreign guests.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the first phase of 50 model mosques out of a total of 564 across the country on June 10, 2021 to spread the true message of Islam to remove religious misconceptions. About 69 four storied mosques with lift facility and floor space of 2 thousand 360.09 square meters are being constructed in 64 districts and city corporation areas in 'A' category. 475 mosques under category 'B' with floor space of 1680.14 square meters each and 16 mosques under category 'C' in coastal areas will have floor space of 2,052.12 square meters each.
According to the ministry, the mosques and Islamic cultural centers are located in Bhanga of Faridpur, Nagarkanda, Kapasia of Gazipur, Sadar Upazila of Gopalganj, Sadar Upazila of Kishoreganj, Katiadi, Ghior of Manikganj, Saturia, Sadar Upazila of Narsingdi, Manohardi, Gowaland Upazila of Rajbari, District Sadar, Shariatpur. Vedarganj Upazila, Dhunat Upazila of Bogra, Nandigram, Niamatpur Upazila of Naogaon, Baraigram Upazila of Natore, Sadar Upazila of Chapainawabganj, Bhangura of Pabna, Kazipur of Sirajganj, Rajshahi City Corporation, Gangachara and Kaunia of Rangpur, Sadar Upazila of Thakurgaon, Sadar Upazila of Sherpur, Sadar Upazila of Pirojpur, Sadar Upazila of Brahmanbaria. And Kasba, Sadar Upazila and Manikchari of Khagrachari, Chandina and Chauddagram of Comilla, Rupsa of Khulna, Khoksha and Bheramara of Kushtia, District Sadar and Gangni of Meherpur, Debhata of Satkhira, Goainghat of Sylhet, District Sadar of Sunamganj and Chunarughat Upazila of Jagannathpur, Habiganj District.
