According to the report, Dhaka division has the largest population of 4 crore 56 lakh 43 thousand 915 people. But it can be seen as a preliminary, one crore two lakh people live in Dhaka city alone (this data has not yet been adjusted). Chittagong division has 3 crore 41 lakh 78 thousand 581 people in the second position. Two crore seven lakh 94 thousand 23 people in Rajshahi division. 1 crore 80 thousand 20 thousand 73 people in Rangpur division. One crore 78 lakh 13 thousand 957 people in Khulna division. One crore 26 lakh 37 thousand 524 people in Mymensingh division. One crore 14 lakh 15 thousand 21 people in Sylhet division. Barisal division has the lowest population of 93 lakh 25 thousand 818 people.
Project Director Dildar Hossain Belen, the largest Muslim population in the country. 91 percent of the country's total population is Muslim. The number of Muslims is 15 crore 45 lakh 42 thousand 78 people. One crore 52 lakh 876 people belonging to other religions including Hindus. Among the total population of the country, the largest population is 1 crore 71 lakh 60 thousand 175 people aged 15 to 19 years. That is, 10.10 percent of the total population of the country is youth. The lowest is 70 to 78 years old people.
Population rate is higher in villages than in cities. 31.66 percent live in the city. And 68.34 percent people live in villages. In terms of numbers, 11 crore 61 lakh people live in villages. And 5 crore 38 million people in the city. According to the report, the total number of families or households in the country is 40 crores and 10 lakhs.
