Last week, the price of gold in the world market fell by 1.76 percent. Silver fell by 3.92 percent and platinum by 73.0 percent.

The review of the data noted that the price of gold rose by 7.61 dollars per ounce in the global market during the last working day, which is 43.43 percent. Then the value of gold decreased by 31.61 dollars or 1.76 percent during the week. In this, the value of gold per ounce stands at one thousand 796.29 dollars. The price of gold per ounce stood at $1,827.90 after three consecutive weeks of price hikes. As a result, after the price drop last week, the price of gold in the world market is still 80 percent higher in the space of a month.
Gold prices fell for four consecutive weeks in the world market after three consecutive weeks of price increase. In this, the price of gold per ounce decreased by about 79 dollars or 4.24 percent within a month. Bangladesh Jewelers Rally (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold in the country since last December 15 as the prices continue to fall in the global market. In this, the price of the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) has become 73 thousand 13 taka.

Apart from this, 21 carat Pratibhari gold is selling at Tk 69 thousand 984, 18 carat Pratibhari gold at Tk 61 thousand 236 and Sanatan method Pratibhari gold is being sold at Tk 50 thousand 914.
