The first week of Baisakh will be spent in intense heat
The intensity of the heat wave which starts at the end of the season gradually increases. The 'intense heatwave' has reached its last days. The beginning of Baisakh (the month of Baisakh begins on Friday, April 14) will be spent like this. According to the Meteorological Office, the temperature in the country reached 41 degrees Celsius on Thursday (April 13). It may increase.
Yesterday, Thursday was the hottest in the capital in the last 9 years. As the humidity in the air is abnormally low, the lips and skin are cracking with the heat. Intense burning sensation is felt in the body.
According to the Meteorological Department, this storm may continue throughout the first week of Baisakh. Most parts of the country may feel hotter than yesterday on Friday. After remaining hot for the next three to four days, clouds may be seen in the last week of the month. It may rain somewhere. But before that one has to endure the heat for a week.
According to the information of the Directorate of Meteorology, the maximum temperature in Dhaka rose to 39.5 degrees Celsius yesterday. The previous highest temperature was 40.2 degrees Celsius on April 14, 2014. And yesterday the highest temperature in the country was as always at Chuadanga, 41 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the maximum temperature of Rajshahi, Pabna, Kushtia, Jessore, Bagerhat, Manikganj, Faridpur exceeded 40 degree Celsius yesterday. In other words, intense fire is flowing through those districts. Apart from this, except for Rangpur division, there is moderate fire in the rest of the country.
In 1995, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at Chuadanga and Ishwardi at 43 degrees Celsius. However, in 2014, the temperature in Chuadanga was 42 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Dhaka rose to 42.3 degrees in 1960.
The Met office had earlier said that mild (36-38 degree Celsius) to moderate (38-40 degree Celsius) heat waves may continue over the country till the first half of next week. In this case, there may be scattered intense (40-42 degree Celsius) heat waves in two places in Rajshahi, Khulna and Dhaka divisions.
