Fakhrul lied about voter turnout in by-elections: Kader

Obaidul Quader said, 'Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has committed such shameless lies to achieve nefarious political objectives. Voters came out to cast their votes despite extreme cold and inclement weather. More than 25 percent voters cast their votes in all the by-elections. Even in Thakurgaon-3 constituency, the voter turnout was 45 percent.

Since there is no change of government in by-elections, there is less interest among voters than in national elections. Clearly, voter turnout in national elections will increase and people will vote with great enthusiasm.'
