The country is burning in heat, there is a possibility of rain in 3 categories
It's sunny outside. People are gasping in the heat. When the wind blows, it seems as if the sparks are hitting the fire. Meanwhile, load shedding is going on in different parts of the country. In such a situation, light to moderate rainfall is likely in some districts of Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions. However, there is a strong possibility that heat wave conditions will remain unchanged in most districts of Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Barisal and Dhaka divisions.
Mustafa Kamal Palash, a PhD researcher on meteorology and climate at the University of Saskatchewan, said this information in a post on Facebook on Monday (April 17).
He wrote, "You may remember that I had predicted on April 14 that 'there is a possibility of very light rain with weak Kalbaisakhi storm in some districts of Barisal, Chittagong, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions on April 17 and 18.'"
Incidentally, last Saturday was the hottest day in the capital in 58 years. The temperature was 42.2 degrees. The maximum temperature in Dhaka was last recorded in April 1965 at 42 degrees Celsius. The previous highest temperature was recorded in the same month in 1960.
