Shariatpur ferry service started after being closed for about 5 hours

After being closed for about 5 hours, ferry service has resumed at Narsinghpur-Chandpur Harinaghat of Vedarganj upazila of Shariatpur.

On Sunday (January 29) at around 8 am, the ferry service started on this route. Earlier on Saturday (January 28) the BIWTC ghat authority stopped the traffic on this route from 3 pm.

Manager of BIWTC Narsinghpur Ghat. Iqbal Hossain confirmed this. He said ferry operations were suspended from 3 pm on Saturday to avoid marine accidents due to increased density of fog. Later on Sunday at around 8:30 AM, the ferry service started again as the density of fog reduced.
