Gazipur train engine broke down, train movement with the capital stopped

At Pubail in Gazipur, eleven Sindur trains have broken down and the trains to the capital, Dhaka, have stopped. This incident happened at 10:30 am on Thursday.

Public Railway Station Master Rakibul Islam confirmed the matter.

He said that an alternative engine from Dhaka has been dispatched to the spot to remove the engine of the broken down train. Train movement is temporarily stopped on that line.
Due to this, train movement is stopped on Sylhet and Chittagong train route with the capital. Many people have suffered. However, train movement on one route towards Dhaka is stopped, but train movement on the other line is normal.

• Railway station official Rakibur Rahman said that Egarsindur Prabhati Express left Kishoreganj for Dhaka on Thursday. When the train reached Kalutia area of Pubail in Gazipur, the engine broke down. Sylhet and Chittagong train communication with Dhaka is closed. A replacement engine was dispatched from Tongi station immediately after the incident. In no time the train will be brought to Tongi station with the broken engine. After that train communication between Dhaka and Chittagong and Sylhet will be started.
