Prime Minister inaugurated 48 development projects of Gopalganj
Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina inaugurated 48 development projects in various areas of Gopalganj from the Jansabha ground of Kotalipara. Among them, he inaugurated 43 newly constructed development projects and laid the foundation stone for the construction of five development projects.

The Prime Minister unveiled the plaques of these development projects at the beginning of the public meeting organized by the Upazila Awami League at the Bhangarhat Talimpur-Telihati High School ground of Sadulyapur Union of Kotalipara Upazila of Gopalganj on Saturday (February 25) at 12:40 PM. Earlier in the morning Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to Kotalipara from Dhaka.
On the occasion of his arrival, the leaders and activists started gathering at the gathering place from different areas of Kotalipara. By 9 am, the venue was packed to the brim. Men and women of different ages are joining the public meeting with colorful banners. The sight of men and women coming to the public meeting with processions wearing Basanti colored sarees and white T-shirts was a sight to behold.

Gopalganj Executive Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department said, Prime Minister will inaugurate our 29 projects. Besides, the foundation stone of 2 projects will be laid. The total cost of construction of our 31 projects will be 156 crore 75 lakh taka. Due to the implementation of these projects, road communication has been established with the remote villages of Tungipara-Kotalipara upazila, union, upazila and district headquarters. It has expanded the road network of the district. All products produced in the district are being marketed easily. Because of this, the socio-economic condition of the people of the district will change. In addition, due to the construction of rural roads, a large amount of waterlogged and uncultivated land in Tungipara-Kotalipara upazila of Gopalganj has come under cultivation.
A huge platform in the shape of a boat has been built in the Jansabha ground. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate 43 projects implemented in Gopalganj Sadar, Kotalipara and Tungipara upazilas and lay the foundation stone of five projects from the public meeting stage.
After the public meeting, the Prime Minister will go to Tungipara. There, he will pay tribute by placing wreaths at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Later, he will participate in a special prayer for the souls of Bangabandhu and the martyrs who died on August 15, 1975.
