A college student died while taking a bath in the Yamuna

A college student named Shishir (19) died after drowning in the river Yamuna in Sirajganj. On Friday (April 14) night, members of the fire service recovered his body from the China Dam area of the Yamuna river.

Shishir Sirajganj Municipality Sayadhangarh Mohalla. Son of Alam and second year student of Rajab Ali Memorial Science College in the city.

Sirajganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Warehouse Inspector Ataur Rahman Tony said that Shishir went to take a bath with his friends around 3 pm on Friday. At this time, he disappeared for hours. On receiving the information, the fire service personnel reached the spot and started the rescue operation. He could not be rescued even after an operation till evening. Later, a diving team came from Rajshahi and recovered Shishir's body at night.
