Our people are dying because of Western indecision: Ukraine

Ukraine is receiving military support from Western allies to counter Russian aggression. But the Eastern European country wants more sophisticated weapons, including powerful tanks, from allies.

Ukraine alleged that "global indecision" was "killing more of our people", according to the report. The accusation comes amid Germany's undecided delivery of Leopard tanks to Ukraine to bolster Kiev's military capabilities in the fight against Russia.

"(The West's) indecisiveness today is killing more of us," Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

"Every day of delay means the death of more Ukrainians," he said. So think fast.'

According to Al Jazeera, about 50 countries agreed last Friday to supply billions of dollars worth of military equipment to Ukraine. This includes giving Kiev other weapons, including armored vehicles, to help it fight off an invasion by Russian forces.

Germany is also under considerable pressure to supply Kiev with advanced tanks. But after the meeting, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said, "We cannot yet say when a decision will be made and what the decision will be about the Leopard tank."

According to the press, Ukraine wants German-made Leopard 2 tanks to fight against Russia. Several allies echoed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's comments that the German tanks are essential to Ukraine's fight against Russia.

Basically, Ukraine has been demanding tanks for the past few days. The country specifically asked for several German tanks. After listening to Ukraine's claim, Poland said that they have the German tank. If Germany gives the green signal, they will hand over the tank to Ukraine.

But the German chancellor said that the decision will be announced only after considering all aspects and discussing with everyone.

On the other hand, Ukraine wanted Abram tanks from the United States. According to the US, it is difficult for Ukraine to use such advanced tanks. Operating this type of tank requires significant training. It is not possible to give that training to the Ukrainian army now. That is why they are not being given tanks.

On the other hand, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz said that Germany will hand over their Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine only if the United States gives Ukraine Abrams tanks. The Leopard 2 tank is also state-of-the-art. Which requires special training to operate.

According to experts, it is clear from the announcement of the United States that tanks will not be given to Ukraine now. As a result, Germany is also believed to be walking the same path.
