I am not qualified to sit in the post of President: Obaidul Quader

Awami League's Common Secretary and Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader commented that I do not have the qualifications to hold the post of President. He made this comment to the journalists in the ministry meeting room at the secretariat on Thursday (January 12).

Road Transport and Bridges Minister said, we will be careful about BNP's movement. We have not changed our position so that they cannot create a violent situation. We are on the highway. We will not leave the highway. I will fulfill the responsibility of protecting people's life and property. The BNP meeting was big enough yesterday. Our discussions have also turned into big gatherings.

Questioning the leadership of BNP, he said, "Sheikh Hasina will lead us in the next election." But who is their leader? In the last election, they elected under the leadership of Kamal Hossain. Awami League general secretary said that there was no violent situation anywhere yesterday. Bricks were thrown at the police from their meeting in Faridpur. The matter did not go far. If they march, we will hold a peace rally.

When asked about banning Jamaat, he said, it is a matter for the court. We have not decided to be proactive in this regard. Party roles in court matters will not be reasonable. But BNP is powerless without Jamaat. BNP-Jamaat Saim is the opposite side of the coin.
