Inauguration of 26 projects from public meeting in Rajshahi: Prime Minister

Meanwhile, the senior leaders of the party welcomed the Prime Minister with slogans from the stage. The Prime Minister also shook hands and congratulated the activists.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated 26 projects at a cost of about 1,316,970,000 taka and laid the foundation stones of six more projects at a cost of about 3,762,800 taka.
On Sunday (January 29) at 3:30 in the afternoon, he came to the Awami League Jansabha Maidan in Rajshahi to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of these projects.
The largest mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was constructed adjacent to C&B crossing in Rajshahi city. RCC has constructed the country's largest mural at a cost of around Tk 52 lakh as part of Tk 2993 crore project titled Integrated Urban Infrastructure Development in Rajshahi City.

The height of the mural is 58 feet and the main part of the mural has a picture of Bangabandhu 50 feet high and 40 feet wide.
Rajshahi City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton said the mural inspires to learn about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib along with his life, work and commendable contribution and sacrifice for the country's freedom.
Leaders and workers of Awami League came to the rally by bus and truck and on foot. Apart from this, 8 trains have been hired to bring activists from Joypurhat, Bogra, Sirajganj, Natore, Pabna and Chapainawabganj to Rajshahi.

- Food, water, caps and t-shirts have been distributed to them from small trucks. Besides 2 big water tanks around the rally, 5 lakh water bottles have been kept at several places in the city.
Changes have been made to the ongoing traffic system of the city. It has been asked to use one lane of the main thoroughfare to accommodate buses and trucks coming from far away.
Many of the marchers were heard saying that they wanted to catch a glimpse of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. They want to hear from him about future plans.
