Demand to give 'Bharat Ratna' to Mamata Banerjee
A Trinamool leader has demanded that India's West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee be given the Bharat Ratna. Biswajit Das, Bangaon district organizational president of Trinamool, made such a demand in a meeting on Saturday.
Biswajit Das said that people are getting the benefits of the Chief Minister's scheme from birth to death. Central government is also following these schemes. These projects are being appreciated all over the world. So from this forum I demand that the Chief Minister should be given the Bharat Ratna.
Transport Minister Snehashish Chakraborty, MLA Narayan Goswami, MLA Biswajit Das, former MP of Bangaon Mamata Thakur and many others were also present in the meeting.
Snehashish said, CAA was not designed to give citizenship to refugees. BJP MP from Bangaon Shantanu Thakur, Union Home Minister cannot implement CAA.
He also said that Mamata has come down to common people. The Chief Minister has brought the government to Grameganj with the administration.
