Arrest warrant against 2 teachers of Vikarunnisa
The court has issued an arrest warrant against Nazneen Ferdous and Jinnat Ara, two teachers of Vikarunnisa Noon School and College. This warrant has been issued against them in the case of abetting the suicide of Aritri Adhikari, a class ninth student of the institution. On Thursday (March 30), the bench assistant of the concerned court said. Himmel confirmed this.
He said, on Tuesday (March 28), Judge Abdullah Al Mamun of Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge-12 of Dhaka issued this warrant against them. The case came to our court after being transferred from the Third Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court of Dhaka. Earlier the case had a fixed date. The accused did not appear in court that day. March 28 was also the date of the case. As they did not appear in court that day, the court issued an arrest warrant. The case is scheduled for hearing on April 18.
It is known that on December 3, 2018, during the examination, the teacher found Aritri's mobile phone. Aritri's parents were asked to go to school on the charge of copying on mobile phones. When Dilip Adhikari went to school with his wife and daughter, the vice principal insulted them and threw them out of the room. He also behaved the same when he went to the principal's room. At this time Aritri quickly left the principal's room. Later, Aritri's mother went home to Shantinagar and found Aritri hanging from the ceiling fan.
Aritri's father Dilip Adhikari filed a case in Paltan police station on December 4, 2018. On July 16, 2019, the court framed charges against the accused. On March 20 of that year, the investigating officer of the case, Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) Inspector Kazi Kamrul Islam filed a charge sheet against the two accused in the court.
