Meanwhile, four days after the earthquake, several people were miraculously rescued alive. Among them, the rescue team of Bangladesh rescued a 17-year-old girl alive.
According to an immediate statement of the United States Geological Survey, USGS, the origin of the earthquake was 17.9 kilometers below the surface near the city of Gaziantep in the southern province of Kahramanmaras, Turkey.
Immediately after the devastating earthquake, the rescue workers of Turkey and Syria's Disaster Management Department started to rescue those trapped under the debris. Later rescuers from different countries joined them.
