Sohail Rana tried to escape to a sister in Nepal via Siliguri after illegally entering India after the E-Orange case. Mekhligonj in Cooch Behar is just a few kilometers away from the Siliguri Corridor that borders Bhutan-Nepal and Bangladesh. The police believe that they may try to escape to Nepal again by taking advantage of the open Indo-Nepal border.
