Dhaka topped the list of polluted cities for the sixth consecutive day
Dhaka has been at the top for the sixth day in air pollution this week. Dhaka's Air Quality Index (AQI) score is 372 at around 8:30 am on Thursday (January 26). Dhaka's AQI score was 319 at the same time yesterday.

At the same time today, Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, is in the second position with an AQI score of 288. Mongolia's Ulaanbaatar (240) ranks third. India's capital, New Delhi, ranks fourth (AQI score 218). Next is India's commercial capital Mumbai (AQI score 200). Myanmar's Yangon (AQI score 183) is in sixth place and Pakistan's Lahore is in seventh place with an AQI score of 179.

- Air monitoring technology firm IQ Air has been publishing a list of cities with polluted air. An AQI score based on daily air quality gives an idea of how clean or polluted the air is in a particular city.

A score between 101-200 on this air measurement index is considered unhealthy. And if the score is between zero and 50 it is considered good. 51-100 is fair, 101-150 is cautious and 201-300 is considered very unhealthy. And scores above 301 are considered dangerous.
