The match between Brazil and Argentina, the two most popular teams in world football, means extra frenzy for the audience. Being from the same subcontinent, the two superpower teams are seen taking the field almost at the same time. On Friday (April 14), the two arch-rivals of Latin America played two separate matches. Both the teams are supposed to be in a happy mood without the victory. But a red card leaves the Selecao in a bit of discomfort.

The two superpowers will play in Ecuador in the Latin American Under-17 Football Championship match. Brazil will face Paraguay at 1 pm and Argentina will face Venezuela at 3:30 pm.

Brazil won against Venezuela in the first match of the day, but they played with 10 men for almost half the time. The team returned from the break and became a team of 10, but the team did not lag behind. They doubled the lead in the 79th minute through Luis Gustavo. Angel Aguero scored in stoppage time as Paraguay looked to be losing by a wide margin. Brazil won 3-2.


On the other hand, Santiago Lopez scored two goals for Argentina against Venezuela in the other match of the day. However, that lead did not last long after he put the Albicelestas ahead 15 minutes into the match. 9 minutes later, Luciano Reynoso equalized for Venezuela. Then Lopez got the second goal for himself and the team in the last minute before the break. The 2-0 goal difference in the first half remained even at the end of the match. Neither team could score in the second half. As a result, Argentina leaves the field with a 2-0 victory.
