On Tuesday (January 10) morning at Dhanmondi number 32, he said this to the journalists after paying tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu on the occasion of the Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Obaidul Quader said, Awami League is much stronger than any time in the past under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. Awami League is ready to respond to violence in the name of movement.

Stating that the government is working under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina to build Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla, Obaidul Quader said, "The formation of a state is the promise of Awami League today. He said, "Awami League is ready to stop various domestic and foreign conspiracies, appropriate response to violence in the name of movement and the rise of communalism."
Awami League general secretary said, we achieved victory in 1971 through the surrender of the Pakistani invading forces. This victory was not completed until Bangabandhu's release from Pakistan prison. Victory was incomplete in his absence. That incomplete victory was completed on 10 January 1972. He said, forming the ideal state of Bangabandhu's dream is our commitment today. We will establish Bangabandhu's ideal state. Under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina, we will build the golden bangla of Bangabandhu's dream along the highway of development.
Our oath on this day is that we will build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh, i.e. Smart Bangladesh in 2041 by building the Sonar Bangla of Bangabandhu's dream. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait with the leaders and activists.

On this day (January 10) in 1972, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman returned home. Earlier on January 8, he was released after a long 9-month imprisonment in Pakistan's Mianwali Jail. Later he went to London from Pakistan. Then Bangabandhu returned to Dhaka via Delhi. Awami League and various affiliated organizations of the party and various parties and organizations have taken extensive programs to celebrate the day.
