RAB's press release informed that Tawhid had been promoting militant militant books banned in different parts of the country and encouraging the young generation to engage in militancy with the two-year prison sentence and arrest warrant issued by the Anti-Terrorism Tribunal. In the past days, he used to distribute leaflets against the state and the government in various ways.
According to the press release, Tauhidur Rahman Tauhid (32) is the top leader of the banned militant organization Hizb ut Tahrir and one of the responsible persons of Dawat and finance department. He conducted anti-government and anti-state activities by distributing Hizbut Tahrir leaflets and posters by holding conspiratorial meetings against the Bangladesh government. Tawheed, who encouraged madrassa and school students and young generation to militancy, termed democracy as a virus and worked to establish caliphate.
Tawhid is a top-level leader of the banned militant organization Hizb ut Tahrir, named in the statement of the case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Hazaribag police station in the capital and charged in the charge sheet. He continued the activities of the militant organization in hiding for the last 11 years under various guises, avoiding the attention of the law enforcement agencies.
