YouTuber Hiran and his two associates arrested
The Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested three persons, including YouTuber and web series 'Badmaish Polapine' actor Pratya Hiran, for running an online gambling campaign.
YouTuber Pratya Hiranak and his two accomplices have been arrested by DB Police for gambling campaign. They were arrested from Narayanganj.
Allegedly against them, they used to make YouTube videos promoting international gambling sites. They also advertise foreign gambling platforms through agents. Police filed a case in Ramna police station. They were then arrested.
The other two arrested are Raihan Sarkar Vishal and Abdul Hamid. Three mobiles, three SIMs, one tab and one hard disk were seized from them.
DB says that Pratya Hiran used to promote gambling sites One X Bet, Babu88, Crixx. For this, he used to charge 100,000 taka per video.
At present, the police said that advertising dialogues are being given between videos on social media. Especially in YouTube-Facebook videos, this new trend has started. Many are promoting gambling advertisements through this. Among them there is a YouTube channel called 'Azaira Limited'. Whose subscribers are about four and a half million.
On the other hand, Pratya Hiran's associate Abdul Hamid worked as an advertising agent with an Indian agency.
