The price of broiler chicken is increasing again
The price of broiler and golden chicken has started to increase again in the market. The price of broiler chicken has increased by Tk 20 to Tk 30 per kg and is being sold at Tk 220 in just two days. And golden chicken is being sold at 350 to 360 taka increased by 10 to 20 taka. Retailers say they are also forced to raise prices as wholesale prices rise again.

Amjad Hossain, a chicken trader in Karwan Bazar, said that the price of chicken has started increasing again for two days. Broiler chickens are being sold at a higher price of Tk 20 to Tk 30 per kg and Golden chickens are being sold at Tk 10 to Tk 20 per kg.
Bangladesh Shop Owners Association President Helal Uddin said that the chicken market will fluctuate somewhat. But broiler chicken should be between Tk 200 and Tk 220 per kg. We are monitoring the price so that it does not increase.
Earlier, two days before the start of Ramadan, the price of broiler chicken rose by a record amount to Rs 270 per kg. And golden chicken is sold at 380 taka per kg. In a meeting on March 23, farmers started reducing prices when FBCCI suggested the government to open import of chicken. As a result, the price of broiler chicken decreased from 70 to 80 taka to 190 to 200 taka per kg within a week. At the same time, the price of golden chicken decreased by Tk 30 to Tk 40 to Tk 340 per kg.
Meanwhile, eggs are being sold at Tk 135 to Tk 140 per dozen with an increase of Tk 10 in a week. Besides, the price of fish has also increased. The price has increased from Tk. 20 to Tk. 50 per kg, cotton fish is being sold at Tk. 4,500. Apart from this, katal fish is being sold for three and a half hundred taka per kg.
