Suspect balloons in the sky of Colombia after the United States
Suspicious balloons have also been seen flying over Colombia after being shot down by US warplanes. The country's military has reported that a celestial object that looks like a balloon is flying over Colombia's airspace.

According to the report, the American warplane shot down the Chinese balloon on the Atlantic coast of the United States on Saturday. In a statement the same day, Colombia's military confirmed the possible presence of balloons but gave no details. It was only reported that its presence was detected on Friday morning.
Earlier on Friday, the Pentagon claimed that another Chinese spy balloon had flown over Latin America that evening.
However, it is not yet clear where the balloon is flying through Latin America. But a US official told CNN the balloon did not appear to be headed for the US.
A Colombian Air Force statement said an 'object' was detected in their airspace at an altitude of 55,000 feet. It entered Colombian airspace from the north at a speed of 25 knots or 29 miles per hour.
According to the statement, this object is similar to the balloon detected in the United States. The Air Force will keep an eye on it until it leaves the airspace. The object has been confirmed not to be a threat to national security.
As of Sunday, there had been no official announcement of unidentified balloons flying over any other Latin American country. However, several social media users mentioned the flying of balloons in the sky of Venezuela and Costa Rica a few days ago.
