One tourist killed, seven injured in car attack in Tel Aviv
A tourist was killed and seven others injured in a car attack in Israel's capital, Tel Aviv. Israeli police shoot dead suspected car bomber.
The incident took place near the beach in Tel Aviv and the dead tourist is said to be an Italian citizen.
Sources from the foreign ministries of the two countries said that the deceased's name was Alessandro Parini. Video footage shows a car suddenly hitting pedestrians and overturning on the pavement, causing casualties. And at this time, the police immediately shot the driver of the car. The driver died on the spot.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her deep sorrow over the death of one of her citizens in the attack. He termed the attack as 'cowardly'.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered police and military forces to be more active after the tourist's death.
