Arrested Shamsul Alam Shakeel (37) of Madhyam Maheshkhaliapara area of Teknaf police station in Cox's Bazar district. Son of Abul Hossain. Rakib Talukder (27) of Chandpura area of Talukdar Hat of Barisal Sadar Upazila has filed a case against him at Bandar police station on the charge of fraud.

According to the statement of the case, the plaintiff took an auto-rickshaw from Karnakathi Hiran Point of Barisal Sadar Upazila to Dinar Pool Zero Point yesterday at 8 pm. The accused Shakeel boarded the auto-rickshaw along with other passengers and introduced himself as Inspector of Kotwali Model Police Station. Then he asked how best to go with the accused to Bhola, the plaintiff said that it would be best to go by speedboat.

After that, Shakeel told the plaintiff of the case, "Police is hiring people, 8th class, SSC and HSC pass. You take my number, if you have a man I will give you a job in the police.' Then the autorickshaw reached zero point. When the auto-rickshaw driver asked Shakeel for rent, instead of giving it, he gave the driver a police identity and arrested him.


If the plaintiff is in doubt about the matter, emergency services call 999. After receiving the information, the Bandar police went to the spot and arrested Shakeel. Bandar police station sub-inspector Rafsan Jani said that when the man, who was identified by the police, asked the identity of his workplace, he spoke suspiciously.

On extensive questioning, he admitted to identifying himself as an inspector. During the arrest, a khaki envelope containing police identification written in Bengali and English and two mobile sets were recovered from Shakeel.

He did not realize that he would be caught like this while not paying the auto fare of 20 rupees.
