When asked which type of book is more in demand, the sales person said, almost all types of books are sold, but Bangabandhu, short stories and dictionary are sold more from our Bangla Academy stall. Also, when asked about the price of books, officials of publishing houses like Kendra Bindu, Anupraban, Charulipi etc. said that the price of new books has increased and that is due to the increase in the price of paper, but the price of old books has not increased.
For example, Sajib, the sales person of Charulipi Prakashani, told my news that he saw Shahidullah Kaiser's old book Rajbandir Roznamcha, page number 399, which cost two hundred and fifty taka, and Shahidullah Kaiser's new book Samshaptak, page 127, which also cost two hundred and fifty taka.
Sajib said, this price has actually increased due to the increase in the price of paper, the writer has no hand in this.

And there was a baby watch at the fair today. Child watch is announced from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Child and Adolescent Drawing Competition: Child and Adolescent Drawing Competition was held at Bangla Academy premises at 8:30 am as part of Amar Ekushey celebrations.
195 contestants participated in A-branch, 183 in B-branch and 68 in C-branch. Artist Hashem Khan inaugurated the painting competition. Child and Youth Recitation Competition: The preliminary selection phase of the Child and Youth Recitation Competition was held at 9:30 am at Abdul Karim Sahithabisharad Auditorium of Bangla Academy. More than two hundred contestants participated in it. The judges were Kazi Madina, Anjuman Ara and Nurul Hasnat Zeelan.
The discussion program was held at 4:00 PM on the main stage of the book fair on the topic of Birth Centenary Tribute: Artist Safiuddin Ahmed and Birth Centenary Tribute: SM Sultan. Papers were presented by Malay Bala and Syed Nizar. Sushanth Kumar Adhikari, Imam Hussain Sumon, Nasir Ali Mamun and Neeru Shamsunnahar participated in the discussion.
