Not Hero Alam, my comment was about Mirza Fakhrul: Obaidul Quader
Not Hero Alam, my comment was about BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul, said Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said, I had no comment about Hero Alam, my comment was about BNP's Mirza Fakhrul. He said this to reporters in front of the party's central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Monday (February 9) morning.
Before this, Hero Alam fought in the by-election of Bogra-4 (Nandigram-Kahalu) seat. However, he lost to Grand Alliance candidate AKM Rezaul Karim Tansen by a margin of just 834 votes. Hero Alam's startling result sparked discussions across the country.
In view of this, Obaidul Quader spoke about the election in Bogra at a rally in Kamrangirchar on Saturday (February 4).
There he said, Fakhrul Sahib said that Hero Alam was defeated by using state apparatus. Alas Maya! Fakhrul felt so much for Hero Alam? Fakhrul thought Hero Alam would win. Hero Alam is now zero. They don't want elections. Hero Alam has been fielded by BNP. BNP has nominated Hero Alam to make the national parliament smaller. Finally Fakhrul's dream broke.
Later this morning, when asked about this statement, Obaidul Quader said that he was not talking about Hero Alam, but BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Meanwhile, Obaidul Quader participated in the Janaza of Muslim Uddin Ahmed, Member of Parliament of 8 Constituencies of Chittagong at Bangabandhu Avenue.
At the end of the funeral, he said, Moslem Uddin became a leader from a worker, a soldier of Bangabandhu's spirit as a dedicated soul of the party. He cherished Awami League from birth to death. Sheikh Hasina fulfilled her last dream of becoming an MP.
Dr. Information Minister also participated in the funeral. Hasan Mahmud. He said he (Moslem Uddin) has to learn how to become a leader from worker.
