BNP is not a march, it is a death march: Obaidul Quader
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said in reference to BNP's announced march for 10-point demands, including the resignation of the government, that it is not a march of BNP, but a death march.
He made this comment during a rally to protest 'BNP's terror and anarchy' and distribution of winter clothes to the needy in front of Amin Market in Azampur area of Uttara, Dhaka on Saturday (January 28).
Commenting that the death march of BNP has begun, the general secretary of Awami League said that the mass tide of BNP is ebbing. Not their march, but their death march has begun. They will be defeated, they will be in agitation, they will die in the next election too - political death.'
Addressing the activists, Obaidul Quader said that he will come when called. We are fighting under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. I am on the streets, I will stay on the streets, we will not leave the streets until the next election.
Mentioning the 70-year history of Awami League standing by the people, the general secretary of the Awami League said, "Even if I lose the election, I am with the people and I will stay there even if I win."
He said, the game will be against corruption, against Hawa Bhaban, against money laundering, against vote robbery. Elections will be played in the movement. The final will be played in the next election. Get ready, go door to door, go to people, do PR.
