Benue State Governor's Adviser Paul Hemba said the bodies of 46 victims have been found and recovered. Many people are still missing. The death toll could be higher.
Paul Hemba blamed nomadic herdsmen for the attack. He said, 'Army has been deployed in the area around the incident site. The situation is somewhat calm now.' He said that the herdsmen have been attacking the villagers for the past few months.
