After 7 hours emergency service 999 started
National emergency service 999 has been suspended after a terrible fire in the capital's Bangabazar. After about seven hours, the service was resumed.
AIG (Media and PR) of Police Headquarters on Tuesday (April 4) evening. Manjur Rahman gave this information.
He said that the police's National Emergency Service 999 service was temporarily suspended due to the terrible fire in Bangabazar around 12 noon. The service resumed after 7 pm.
It should be noted that the fire service received information about the fire in Bangabazar at 6:10 am on Tuesday morning. After that 50 units of fire service started working there to control the fire.
Apart from this, support teams from the Army and Air Force, a combined team from the Navy and a helicopter participated in the fire control. By that time, the goods of more than four thousand traders of Bangabazar and neighboring markets were burnt.
