BNP activists were attacked on their way to the Victory Day rally in Jhenaidah. Five people were injured.

The incident took place in front of the city's freedom fighter complex on Friday (December 16) morning. The activists alleged that some people attacked them with indigenous weapons while going to the victory rally organized by the upazila BNP. Five people were seriously injured in the beating.

The injured are Tito Hossain, Azad Hossain, Raju and five others from Kulapara area of Kaliganj upazila.

Inside, Tito's condition is critical. On getting the news, Saiful Islam Feroz, Senior Joint Secretary of the Central Volunteers Party and BNP nominee for Jhenaidah-4 constituency in the 11th National Assembly Elections, Joint Convener of Thana BNP Shahidul Islam Saidul, former UP Chairman Ilyas Rahman Mithu and others went to see the injured.


Azad Hossain, who was injured in the attack, said in the complaint that Awami League leaders and activists attacked them with rods and sticks on the way to BNP's victory day procession. At this time they hit different parts of their body. Then the locals rescued them and admitted them to various hospitals including Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.

Later the locals rescued them and took them to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex. District BNP leaders strongly condemned and protested this attack. Kaliganj police station officer in-charge (OC) Abdur Rahim Mollah said that he did not know anything about the attack.
