40 people were arrested in the anti-drug operation in the capital
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 40 people with drugs in various areas of the capital.
This information was confirmed by the media and public relations department of DMP on Tuesday (April 11) morning.
According to DMP, as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation, they were arrested from 6 am on Monday to 6 am on Tuesday in different areas of the capital.
At that time, 3 thousand 445 pieces of yaba, 5 kg 550 grams of ganja, 285 grams of 72 pure heroin, 3 bottles of phensidyl, 26 bottles of foreign liquor and 32 cans of beer were recovered from the arrested persons.
26 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been registered against the arrested in the concerned police stations.
